I have always been highly interested in native American customs and their similarities with other native people, this short film narrates Hopi native american belief and customs. To hear from such a very spiritual people I find really enlightening and absorbing.
The Hopi are a Native American tribe who primarily live on the Hopi Reservation in northeastern Arizona, USA. The Hopi religion is very complex. It has a very developed belief system with many gods and spirits; this includes Earth Mother, Sky Father, the Sun, the Moon, kachinas (invisible spirits of life), and Masaw (the world’s guardian spirit).
The Hopi people believe they have inherited the wisdom of the Earth since ancient times. Hopi means “people of peace”. From the words of Hopi elder Vernon Masayesva, we will consider the current crisis of the Earth and the future of the Earth.
