A Notre Dame cathedral Priest helped firefighters rescue treasures as emergency services form human chain to save artworks and relics
A brave priest repeatedly entered the burning cathedral to help firefighters rescue relics.
The priceless relics including the Crown of Thorns were pulled to safety as people feared the cathedral might collapse in on itself with the heat of the flames.
The very old relic, widely regarded as the churchโs most precious treasure is made of reeds and gold and said to have been worn by Jesus Christ at his crucifixion.
Jean-Marc Fournier the Paris Fire Brigade chaplain put aside fears to access the Gothic building on Monday and once inside he played an important role in rescuing the Crown of Thorns stated Philippe Goujon, mayor of Parisโ 15th district.
