I took a moment this morning to remember some Osho quotes – what they ment to me; there are things I agree with and things I agree with less ๐ as with every speaker.
For some reason I got to thinking of Krishnamuti – and was interested to find something online that refered to them both.
I do like a lot of Osho quotes and ideals.. but can’t get over the feeling that Krishnamuti is the real deal, because he was not a fan of Guruship – he saw himself as a flawed human being rather than an ideal.. in that view he had a far greater depth concerning the collective history of the soul.
But that is not to say we should adhere just to specific speakers we like – (that would be guru worship). Each speaker from the heart will have a differant story to tell – the only true speaker for ourselves would be the voice we can find in the peace of ourselves, when we are at peace.
Osho famously said โKrishnamurti failed because he could not touch the human Heart. He could only reach the human head. The Heart needs some different approaches.โ
Osho also was able to point out flaws in other speakers – as above. We all struggle to speak to other peoples hearts, Krishnamuti can come accross as being cold and difficult to connect with himself.
What i can’t fully grasp with in Osho is inflexible ideal regarding individual responsibility.. which is a very important fact – we are all specifically responsible for ourselves .. but in what way are we limited by collective, societal trends ?
To fully evolve into our human and soul potential we need to work together to create secure people and places who have the confidence and the time to free themselves from materialism.
Without awareness of collective reponsibility we will be limited in our individual evolution; toxic cultures are more likely to create toxic people individually wrapped in the weight of pain, regret and limitation.
The Effects of Slavery on the Individual and Collective Soul
As an example – in the times of slavery in the usa – on an individual level slaves could not heal their own trauma without a collective change in politics and social vision (many say that never fully happened), but to many gurus might focus too hard on the individual; putting blame on individuals not being able to empower themselves .. to lift themselves out of extreme suffering.
Krishnamuti Had a Far More Understanding View of Collective Evolution
Where Osho might focus on the need for the individual to lift themself, I feel that Krishnamuti understands far more the collective mind. . even if his message might be more complex to understand by many people because of that concept.
Why would it be harder to understand – because people tend to limit their univerwsal thinking into cultural norms and static historical politics, limited by what religion you might be – or what heaven you beleive in – I feel spiritual evolution transends all political and cultural ideals.
